Saint Cecilia’s Home First - homecare with a difference!

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for making a real difference to people’s lives? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Saint Cecilia’s Care Group, is launching a new service, Home First,  to provide care in people’s own homes, across Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale.

That has created a unique and exciting opportunity for an outstanding and entrepreneurial Homecare Registered Manager to not only run the new service but also manage its initial setup.

We are proud of our reputation as a committed and respected care provider and an employer passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.

Celebrating 35+ years of care, we are an award-winning organisation recognised locally and nationally for being at the forefront of the care sector. Through our talented teams, we have a passion that shines through in everything we do.

Saint Cecilia’s is a family-run business with a current portfolio of five care homes, as well as a daycare centre. In keeping with our innovative approach, we are now expanding our care services to include domiciliary care provision.

As Homecare Manager, you will play a vital role in the growth and diversification of our organisation by leading the setup of the domiciliary care service. Once in place, you will be responsible for ensuring that the direct care and support provided is safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led.

You will ensure that individual needs and organisational priorities are met, and work closely with service users, carers, and health colleagues to deliver the best outcomes for people in the community.

Your role will involve ensuring that services remain person-centred, with staff supporting individuals to achieve personal outcomes. You will also ensure that the service meets and exceeds the requirements of the Care Quality Commission and other professional and legislative bodies.

As a motivated and inspiring leader, you will support and guide staff, encouraging them to meet their full potential by gaining relevant qualifications and fostering teamwork and morale.

Experience and/or a management qualification is preferred, or a willingness to obtain one, but a passion for delivering high-quality care and a strong work ethic is a must. Ideally, you will have experience setting up domiciliary care services, or at least have been involved in similar projects.

In return, we offer a starting salary between £40K to £45K per year, plus bonuses for passing key set up milestones. You will also benefit from a supportive employer, ongoing training, and a positive working environment.

To apply, please send an up-to-date CV and a covering statement in not more than a 1000 words setting out why you believe you are the right person for this exciting role to Anne Brand - [email protected]. Informal discussions will be available following application.

Closing date Tuesday, 15 October 2024

Interviews will be held later in October and early November.
