Saint Cecilia's Care Group are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our small but high-performing Finance team. This is a great opportunity to work closely within our existing Finance team to ensure that our day-to-day financial processes run smoothly.
We are recruiting to a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) but are open to flexible part-time applications (minimum of 30 hours per week).

What Will You Be Doing?
As a new Finance Officer, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, playing an important role in supporting our services. This is not just about processing numbers – it is about supporting a team that is making a positive impact in the care homes and communities they work in.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a highly organised individual who thrives on variety, has a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial accuracy.
The ideal candidate should possess:
Experience in a finance role (minimum of 3 years).
Strong Excel skills and MS Office skills.
Excellent interpersonal and team-working skills.
A self-motivated attitude to maintain output and results.
Willingness to learn and grow.
Working with financial management systems (preferably Sage 50) and Invoice Recognition software.
Sales, purchase and cash ledgers, and payroll processing skills.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritise work to effectively meet deadlines.
Understanding of double-entry bookkeeping is desirable.

The Role
The role of Finance Officer will see you report into an experienced Financial Controller and will involve the following:
Taking full control of the purchase ledger, supplier payments and account reconciliations.
Sales ledger, credit control and account reconciliations.
Bank reconciliations investigating outstanding items and resolving queries.
Payroll processing, posting and reconciliations.
Issuing care contracts.
Managing our busy e-mail inboxes.
Supporting the automation of tasks and contributing to the development of processes to realise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Ad hoc duties.
